The Leader

Consumer Electronic Show

I attended CES 2018 with my peers as a member of the SiOnyx  LLC Night Vision camera team. Our goal was to gain as much knowledge as possible about our rivals and try to steal some of their market share.

As a team we gathered footage of the convention to compile and make a final movie to be delivered to our client.  We spoke to several vendors, networked with businesses and individuals and spent a lot of time spreading information about the features of our product through word of mouth.

Model United Nations

Sadly I was only a part of this student group for a year, but in that year I was able to accomplish a lot. I was appointed head delegate at my first ever conference and served as a resource and guide for other first time delegates.

I participated in two more international conferences where students from all over the world attended. The final conference took place at the United Nations headquarters in New York City where the team was able to successfully secure the highest honors while fostering positive camaraderie.

Student Government Association

I was a member of SGA for three successful years. During my time there I served on the Diversity Committee, as the Chair of that committee and ran an unsuccessful bid for Student Government President.

As a senator I was able to spearhead a resolution with a peer that required staff and faculty to participate in Diversity Training every year.

South Asian Student Association

The South Asian Student Association was particularly dear to me. As a co-founder of the club this was my first experience on learning how to manage an organization.

We focused on hosting cultural events like Diwali where we highlighted our traditions. The organization was able to foster a feeling of home for all the South Asian students. I learnt more from our failures than our success. SASA was the stepping stone that propelled me to take on the leaderships roles that I would later pursue.
